Welcome to Delta Southern Railroad

Delta Southern Railroad (DSRR) is a private company operating on two line segments approximately 60 miles apart in Monroe and Tallulah, Louisiana. Encompassing over 40 main line miles, plus additional siding and storage tracks, DSRR serves two port facilities located on the mighty Mississippi River – Lake Providence Port and Madison Parish Port and proudly works with our well-respected railroad and interchange partners, Kansas City Southern Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad to serve clients with rail access to the Meridian Speedway and U.S. Hwy 20.

Logistics & Services

Both DSRR’s lines are conveniently located on the Kansas City Southern (“KCS”) “Meridian Speedway” and Highway 20. Our central southern location provides a strategic position within the logistics footprint for moving product from the southern ports to destinations north, east, and west within the vast rail network. Combined, DSRR’s rail lines handle approximately 2000 carloads of traffic annually, which includes a variety of commodities such as cotton, clay, chemicals, forest products, grain and other agricultural products of and for the region.

DSRR’s Tallulah line includes over 27 miles of main line track, plus another mile of sidings and right of way which originates from a connection with Kansas City Southern Railway (KCS) in Tallulah, Madison Parish.
