The Delta Southern team attended two amazing conferences in the awesome state of Missouri – the North American Rail Shippers Association (NARS) 2022 Annual Meeting in Kansas City and the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) Annual Conference in St. Louis. Both conferences afforded tremendous opportunity to get together with other professionals to network and learn from experts in the field. Exhibits at the two events included industry suppliers there to help solve business challenges while providing industry-specific education from well-versed speakers.

“We really enjoy these opportunities to visit with our professional friends and partners to learn about industry advancements and how we can better serve our customers,” said Jon Ryan, CEO of Delta Southern. “After a very challenging few years, it is invaluable to gather with other industry professionals and discuss relevant issues like supply chain recovery. The transportation industry truly connects the country, and we at Delta Southern know how important it is to connect with our rail and shipping partners to stay abreast of recent changes, as well as look for ways to improve connectivity and service,” Ryan added.
It wasn’t all work at these events, however. The DSRR team had some fun experiences along the way like a friendly throwing axe competition (at a target of course) in Kansas City sponsored by Top Rail Solutions, and taking to the river for a leisurely cruise and visiting the famous Gateway Arch for a quick photo op in St. Louis. Good times for all!
