Delta Southern Railroad Expands Reach with New Transload Terminal

TALLULAH, LOUSIANA, September 16, 2022 – Delta Southern Railroad, Inc., a privately held short line railroad company in Northern Louisiana, announced today the opening of a rail transload terminal on its Tallulah/Lake Providence branch in Sondheimer, LA slated for Fall 2022. Precision Terminal Logistics, a well-known national transload operator with experience handling a wide range of bulk and dimensional products, will operate the site, which will afford customers on-site truck scales and convenient access to both I-20 and the national rail network.

A third-party terminal operator of more than 23 terminals from the northeast to the southern states and growing, Precision Terminal Logistics provides customized terminal services including material handling, inventory control, storage, processing, and loading. Their experience ranges from food grade to hazmat bulk and includes agriculture, chemical, energy, industrial minerals, and aggregate products, all of which are ideally suited for Delta Southern’s customers in the region.
